Let's all be honest, fake tan can be a messy process and as a user of fake tan, all you want is a flawless and natural looking tan. Well, good news because Bali Body has just come out with an exciting new formulation to make this process fast and easy! I love a good face tanner because I use sun protection daily and that makes my face and neck much lighter than the rest of my body. In the warmer seasons, this difference can be pretty significant and a good face tan really helps even out my over color and give me a glow. While I have used a variety of different gradual tan formulas, this one is new to me but I am very excited to test it out. I was very kindly sent this new Face Tan Water from Bali Body.

PACKAGING & PRICE 

The Bali Body Face Tan Water retails for $29.95 and is available at Bali Body. This tanning water is housed in a beautifully simple and chic clear bottle with a pump top. I initially wasn't expecting a pump top because I thought you were supposed to spray this onto your face, then I realized what a terrible idea that would be. I am very glad I am not in charge of creating tanning products because I would seriously mess it up. Anyhow, this product has a very easy to use pump that dispenses the perfect amount of product and minimizes and potential mess. Think of this product as a tanning toner! 

FORMULA

Yes, I know... it sounds crazy... crazy awesome! I have used a tanning face serum before, which I loved but this is so much better! Here's why...First of all, it absorbs so quickly and dries so quickly! Which means it minimizes that down time and fear of rubbing product off on your clothes or sheets. You literally just pump a bit of the clear water into a cotton pad and apply it all over clean skin, like you would do with a toner. It doesn't provide an immediate color and it doesn't transfer! After you let it dry completely, which really only takes about 1-2 minutes, you can apply the rest of your skincare. 

This tan develops within 4 to 6 hours and it really provides an excellent glow! I noticed overnight that my skin tone was at least a shade darker! I love gradual tans for their subtle and natural tanning effect. This one will keep getting you a shade darker each time you apply it but it still look incredibly natural and it's always even! I like to use it twice a week to keep my face and neck looking as tan as the rest of my body. What I really love about this tanning water is that it doesn't smell! Well, not entirely because after it starts to develop you will get a very very subtle wiff of fake tan but it's barely there and hard to discern. For the most part, I don't think anyone would know you were using a tanner unless they had their nose pressed up on your face and that would be weird. 

FINAL THOUGHTS 

Of all the self-tanning formulas out there, this is BY FAR my favorite! It is so insanely easy to use, you could literally use it blindfolded (although not recommended)! I love the fool-proof clear liquid that immediately absorbs into my skin and never transfers. I love how quick and easy it is to apply and and how it develops into the most flawless natural tan! The color is so easy to build up and you don't ever have to worry about streaks or uneven patches. Also, I know that my regular self-tanners will LOVE that it doesn't have that intense fake tan scent. I have tried many gradual self-tanning formulas from cream to serums but the tanning water is truly the most innovative method for self tanning! I really can't rave about it enough because frankly, I'm really lazy when it comes to this kind of stuff. If it isn't easy to incorporate into my routine, I 'll likely forget to do it but because this is practically like a toner, I just incorporate it as part of my skincare routine! I can't recommend this product enough! If you are new to self-tanning or are afraid of self-tanning, this is a MUST-TRY! You will be so happy with the results!
