- Countries that are in italic text represent current or former export markets with SKD / CKD local assembly operations.
- Some British and French overseas territories are also included. Proton may not have sold cars in these territories, but they are still represented because they are under British or French administration.
- A small number of 'green' markets could only be proven with photographic evidence. There is a possibility of said markets being falsely represented. Conversely, some 'grey' markets could have been export markets, but are as of yet unproven. Reader discretion is advised.
