IU1 ialah sejenis ubat yang digunakan dalam penyelidikan saintifik yang bertindak sebagai perencat terpilih enzim protease pemprosesan khusus ubiquitin USP14.[1] Ia menarik perhatian dalam penyelidikan anti-kanser dan antivirus, serta berpotensi dijadikan sebagai ubat anti-penuaan. Banyak derivatif IU1 telah dibangunkan dengan sehingga mencapai 10x potensi berbanding IU1 sebagai perencat USP14,[2][3] tetapi IU1 kekal berperanan sebagai sebatian yang paling banyak digunakan dalam penyelidikan dalam bidang-bidang berkaitan.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
